ARCATA SCHOOL DISTRICT
PUBLIC NOTICE
A vacancy on the Board of Trustees of the Arcata School District has occurred effective October 6, 2019.
Pursuant to Education Code sections 5091 and 5328, the Board of Trustees of the Arcata School District intends to appoint a qualified person to the Board. Qualifications include being at least 18 years of age, a resident of the Arcata School District, a citizen of California, and a registered voter. Persons interested in applying for the position may obtain an application online at arcataschooldistrict.org, or by calling or writing to Superintendent Luke Biesecker at (707) 822-0351, ext. 4, 1435 Buttermilk Lane, Arcata CA 95521.
Completed applications must be received in the District Office no later than 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 6, 2019. The current members of the Board of Trustees will interview applicants in open session at a meeting on Monday, November 18, 2019.
Persons desiring to submit questions for the Board’s consideration in connection with the interview process may submit suggested questions in writing to the District Office by 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 6, 2019.
